Here’s a list of the hotel pools I’d love to have a swim in before I kick the bucket.

Ideally quite a long time before. Next week would be fine!

The Marina Bay Sands in Singapore

150 metres of beautiful swimming pool at the Marina Bay Sands

My husband once annoyed me intensely by staying for three nights at the Marina bay Sands in Singapore and not using the pool once! His pathertic excises of having to work hard and it being too busy fell on deaf, outraged ears.

The pool at this top end Singapore hotel is 191 metres above the ground. Vertigo whilst swimming! I’m not the fittest swimming but 10 laps here would see me do 1.5km and hat would do me fine before a cocktail.

Burj Al Arab, Dubai

Now I have stayed at some nice hotels with cool pools in Dubai, but my gaze was always drawn to the magnificent Burj Al Arab stretching elegantly skywards.

There’s a salt water infinity pool up high in the sky there… ahhhh… it must have glorious views. I cannot for the life of me find out how long it is (and length does matter) but I read it’s 828 square metres. There’s also a 612 square metre freshwater pool on The Terrace.

Look, as soon as I have had a dip there, I’ll report back fully. Have you been? Drool over the Burj Al Arab on its website here.

Where must I add next? And what’s the best hotel pool you’ve ever swum in??
